Importance of Walking Exercises in Weight Loss


Being overweight is not less than a curse for the human race at the present scenario. It is almost affecting 35% of the adult population in America and a good fraction of them in the rest of the world. Calories are considered as the primary factor that may cause weight gain, thus it is essential that you follow a low calorie and healthy diet. Reducing the calorie intake is one of the two major methods to lose weight, and burning the already stored fats from the body is the second most important factor that will help you stay healthy. Burning the fats stored in your body can be done through physical exercising. Aerobic exercises are considered as the best way to lose body weight as they are high intensity exercises and cardiovascular exercises that increase your heart beat and keep your metabolic rate high.

Walking is one of the major cardio exercises that you may inculcate in your daily routine. Walking can be done either as in real walking at some park or you can also try it on a treadmill. However, it is better advised that you go out for walking. Start with slow walking and then increase your speed and time duration for the exercise gradually. Interval walking is considered as best and brings better result as far as weight loss is considered. Interval walking refers to walking at a certain pace and then slowing down or even stopping  for a while and then continue walking once again. This brings a sudden change in your body metabolism and your body does not get used to the continuous walking. Thus it brings better results.

Walking can be done on a treadmill but it will be better if you go out on the road, as it will give you more feel to walk. You can take your dog with you if you don't feel like walking  alone or go with your friends. Do it during early morning or in the evening as these timings are considered as best for walking. Walking being an aerobic exercise that increases your metabolism and catalyzes your fat burn process, has very much importance in maintaining a proper body.
